How to Choose a Facebook Ads Agency in Dhaka: A Practical Guide for Online Businesses
If you sell online in Bangladesh, sooner or later you ask the same question: should I keep boosting posts myself, or hire a Facebook ads agency? And if you hire one, how do you tell a good agency in Dhaka from one that will spend your budget and send you screenshots of reach and likes?
We have run Facebook and Instagram ads for more than 250 brands over 5+ years from our office in Mirpur 2, Dhaka. This guide is what we would tell a friend who is about to hire an agency, including us. It covers what a good agency actually does, the questions to ask before you pay anyone, the red flags, and what the first 30 days should look like.
What a Facebook ads agency should actually do for you
A Facebook ads agency is not a "boost" service. Pressing the Boost button is easy. The hard part is everything around it, and that is what you are paying for. A serious agency should handle:
- Strategy: which products to push, which offer to lead with, how much to spend to test, and when to scale.
- Campaign structure: sales campaigns optimised for purchases, sensible ad sets, testing new creatives without breaking what already works.
- Tracking: a correctly installed Meta Pixel and Conversions API, so Facebook knows who actually bought and can find more people like them.
- Creatives: hooks, videos, images and ad copy, refreshed before the audience gets tired of them.
- Reporting: honest numbers on spend, purchases, cost per purchase and return on ad spend, with a plain explanation of what is working and what is not.
If an agency only talks about posting ads and "reaching more people", it is selling you the easy part.
Judge the agency by sales, not likes, reach or messages
This is the single most important point in this guide. Facebook will happily give you cheap results of almost any kind: cheap likes, cheap reach, cheap video views, cheap message threads. None of these pay your rent. What pays is purchases.
When you talk to an agency, listen for the metric they lead with. A good agency talks about cost per purchase and ROAS (revenue divided by ad spend). A weak one talks about how many people saw your ad.
A simple example: imagine two campaigns that each spend the same budget in a week. Campaign A brings 4,000 page likes and a pile of "price?" comments. Campaign B brings far fewer likes but 60 tracked purchases from your website. Campaign A looks better in a screenshot. Campaign B is the one that grows your business. An agency should be comfortable being judged on Campaign B's numbers.
That is also why tracking matters so much. If your Pixel and Conversions API are not set up, nobody, not you and not the agency, can see real cost per purchase. Fixing tracking is often the first job. We cover it in our Meta Pixel and Conversions API setup service.
7 questions to ask a Facebook ads agency in Dhaka before you hire
1. "Which metric will you report to me every week?"
You want to hear spend, purchases, cost per purchase and ROAS. If the answer is reach, impressions, likes or "engagement", keep looking.
2. "Whose ad account, page and Pixel will this run on?"
Your business assets should stay yours. The page, the Business Manager, the Pixel and the data belong to your business. An agency gets access as a partner. If an agency insists that everything lives in its own account and you will lose it when you leave, that is a risk for you.
3. "How will you test, and how will you decide what to scale?"
A good answer sounds like a process: test several creatives or offers with a small budget, read the results after enough spend, cut what does not sell, and raise budget gradually on what does. A bad answer is "we will run it and see".
4. "Who makes the creatives?"
In our experience the creative, meaning the hook, the video and the offer, decides most of the result. Ask who writes the hooks, who shoots or edits the videos, and how often new creatives are added. An agency that runs the same three images for three months will see costs rise as the audience gets bored. See how we approach this in ad creative and video production.
5. "What happens after the click?"
Ads bring people to a page. If that page is slow, confusing or hard to order from, good ads still fail. A good agency will look at your website or landing page, the order form and the checkout, not just the ad.
6. "How do you charge, and what is included?"
Agencies in Bangladesh charge in different ways: a monthly management fee, a percentage of ad spend, or a model tied to how the ad budget is paid. None is automatically right or wrong. What matters is that you get the full breakdown in writing, including what is included (creatives? tracking? landing pages?) and what costs extra.
7. "Can I talk to you directly when something goes wrong?"
Ads break at awkward times: a rejected ad before Eid, a payment problem, a sudden jump in cost per purchase. Ask who you will actually talk to and how fast they respond.
Red flags to watch for
- Guaranteed results. No honest agency can guarantee a fixed number of sales. Facebook's auction, your product, your price and your offer all play a part.
- Reports full of reach and likes, with purchases missing or vague.
- No questions about your business. If they do not ask about your margins, best-selling products, delivery area and repeat customers, they cannot plan your ads.
- No interest in tracking. Running sales ads without a working Pixel is driving with your eyes closed.
- Locking you in by keeping your assets in their account.
- Very cheap offers with no explanation of what work is actually being done.
What the first 30 days with a good agency look like
Every business is different, but a healthy start usually follows this order:
- Week 1, audit and setup. Review the ad account, page, website and tracking. Fix the Pixel and Conversions API. Agree on the main product, the offer and a realistic target cost per purchase.
- Week 2, testing. Launch sales campaigns with several creatives and hooks on a controlled test budget.
- Week 3, cut and double down. Pause what is not producing purchases. Put more budget behind the winners. Brief new creatives based on what the winners have in common.
- Week 4, scale and review. Raise budgets step by step on proven ads, add retargeting for people who visited but did not buy, and sit down together with the numbers.
You should finish the month knowing your real cost per purchase, which creatives work, and what the plan for next month is, even if the first month is mostly learning.
Agency vs freelancer vs doing it in-house
| Option | Works well when | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Do it yourself | Very small budget, you have time to learn | Learning on your own money, no time to run the business |
| Freelancer | Simple setup, one product, clear brief | One person for strategy, creatives and tracking; gaps when they are busy |
| In-house media buyer | Larger, steady budget and someone to manage them | Salary, training, and depending on one person |
| Agency | You want strategy, creatives, tracking and ads under one roof | Choose by the questions above, not by the cheapest quote |

Frequently asked questions
How much does a Facebook ads agency in Bangladesh cost?
It depends on the pricing model (a monthly fee, a percentage of ad spend, or a model tied to how the ad budget is paid) and on what is included, such as creatives, tracking and landing pages. Ask every agency for a written breakdown. Message us for a quote that fits your business and budget.
How long does it take to see sales from Facebook ads?
Sales campaigns can bring purchases within the first days, but the first two to four weeks are mostly testing: finding which creatives, offers and audiences bring purchases at a cost you can afford. Scaling comes after that.
Do I need a website to run Facebook sales ads?
A website or landing page with a working Meta Pixel and Conversions API lets you optimise for purchases and see your real cost per purchase. Without it you cannot measure sales properly, so we usually recommend at least a fast landing page.
Will I keep my Facebook page, ad account and Pixel if I change agencies?
You should. Your page, Business Manager, Pixel and data belong to your business, and an agency should work as a partner with access. Make this clear before you sign with anyone.
Is it better to hire an agency or a freelancer?
A freelancer can be enough for a simple setup with one product. An agency makes more sense when you need strategy, creatives, tracking and ads handled together, and want a team instead of depending on one person.
